Extraction Process Crushing

Using traditional methods, the dried shea nuts are crushed by the women using mortars and pestles, a technique that has been refined over centuries in their community.

Roasting

The crushed nuts are then expertly roasted in large pots over open fires. This important step, led by the women, is essential to extract the oils and achieve the distinctive color and consistency of our shea butter.

Pressing

The roasted shea mass is manually pressed by these skilled women to extract the creamy, rich butter. This process uses no chemicals or solvents, ensuring the shea butter remains completely natural and organic.

Filtration and Purification - Settling and Filtering

The raw shea butter is allowed to settle before being filtered to remove any impurities, a step that guarantees a smooth and clean texture.
